Rising Sun has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Havre de Grace Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Rising Sun has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 246 points over their last four matchups.
Last Thursday, Rising Sun was able to grind out a solid win over Patterson Mill, taking the game 57-46.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Havre de Grace's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. The contest between Havre de Grace and Fallston wasn't particularly close, with Havre de Grace falling 48-33. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Havre de Grace in their matchups with Fallston: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the defeat, Havre de Grace got a solid performance out of Azareya Whiting, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Whiting is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Havre de Grace struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Rising Sun's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Havre de Grace, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1.
Rising Sun came up short against Havre de Grace when the teams last played back in February, falling 53-43. Can Rising Sun avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
