Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A District 2 this week, Douglass beat Ada 30-18. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Trojans.
Luke May was a force in the backfield as Mannford beat Tecumseh.
May was a passing and rushing force as the Pirates topped the Savages. He completed 6 passes for 67 yards and also ran for 254 yards.
May was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 254 yards on 27 carries as Mannford bested the Cougars. Teammate Tyler Gibson added to the ground attack by rushing for 80 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Willis Alexander's team's Patrick McKaufman and Shaputis have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-5 quarterback McKaufman has thrown for 1,932 yards this season, while Shaputis has 28 catches for 769 yards. Gibson from Eddy Scott's team leads the league in rushing with 1,610 yards.
The Trojans' McKaufman is within 68 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Elgin.
Glenpool led 4A District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 50 points on Santa Fe South.
