The Alpha Omega Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a 42-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of First Baptist Christian. Alpha Omega Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Alpha Omega Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maddie Wallace, who scored 13 points along with two steals and two blocks, and Kathryn Peach who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Alpha Omega Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for First Baptist Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
Alpha Omega Academy will head out on the road to challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for First Baptist Christian, they will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith West Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 13 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
