The Okolona Chieftains entered their tilt with the Bruce Trojans with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Okolona breezed by Bruce on the road to the tune of 62-24. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-9.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Markeevis Gladney, who scored seven points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gladney has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ankavious Glass, who scored four points along with nine rebounds.
Okolona is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Bruce, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Okolona will take on Smithville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Smithville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 264 points over their last four matches. As for Bruce, they will be playing at home against Calhoun City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
