Big Game from Pimentel As Burnet Won 43-7
Marcus Pimentel posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 40 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The victory (which was Burnet's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Pimentel and Burnet will face off against Lampasas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The second Lampasas player making an appearance here is Reed Jerome, and for good reason. He rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 175 yards and a touchdown while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Jerome is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Burnet on Friday. Jerome rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Bulldogs duked it out back in October of 2023.

A Season-Best Performance from Peyton Lopez Leads Burnet over Marble Falls
Burnet was led to victory by Peyton Lopez, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Lopez rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 57 yards.
For the season, Lopez has run in 2 touchdowns while averaging 38.7 rushing yards per game.
