Saguaro has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the McClintock Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Saguaro is ranked 117th, while McClintock is ranked 99th).
Last Saturday, Saguaro had to suffer through a rough 66-34 loss at the hands of New Trier. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Saguaro has scored all season.
Despite their defeat, Saguaro saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mason Whitaker, who scored seven points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Miller, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, McClintock's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 65-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central. McClintock has not had much luck with Central recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Saguaro took a serious blow against McClintock when the teams last played back in December of 2021, falling 91-47. Can Saguaro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
