The Carver Yellowjackets posted their biggest victory since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 61-40 margin over Triad Math and Science Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Carver, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Carver's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaqarius Houston, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Jonathan Gakeri was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Carver's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carver will take on College Prep & Leadership Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Jayden Davis and Jeremiah Glaspie. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. Triad Baptist Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 739 points over their last ten contests.
