Newton Falls had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Crestview Rebels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 last Monday.

Newton Falls saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leland Vargo, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Newton Falls pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Crestview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newton Falls will venture away from home to face off against Grand Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Crestview, they are taking a road trip to take on Jackson-Milton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
