The Agua Fria Owls will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Bradshaw Mountain Bears at 7:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Agua Fria had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Estrella Foothills on Wednesday and snuck past 54-51. The win was just what Agua Fria needed coming off of a 72-52 defeat in their prior game.
Anthony Perez had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Xavier Daniels was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Bradshaw Mountain had just enough and edged the Volunteers out 33-31 on Thursday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Bradshaw Mountain has scored all season.
Agua Fria's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-17. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 16-8.
Agua Fria couldn't quite finish off the Bears in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 and fell 58-55. Will Agua Fria have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
