Preston Ryan was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up five earned runs off four hits. Ryan was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Quinn Knepp, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Luke Mann was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Goshen made sure to put some runs up on the board against NorthWood on Monday. The RedHawks came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 11-6.
Braxton Cline was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Rapp, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Goshen kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as NorthWood only managed ten.
Northridge's record now sits at 6-9. As for Goshen, their record is now 10-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Northridge has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Goshen struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Northridge came up short against Goshen in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 8-3. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
