They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the South Adams Starfires. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on three straight.
Riley Harman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Chandler Cox was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
Whitko now has a winning record of 14-13. As for South Adams, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-21.
As of now, neither Whitko nor the Starfires have any future games scheduled.
