St. Joseph Regional is 6-0 against Tenafly since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The St. Joseph Regional Green Knights will be staying on the road to face off against the Tenafly Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Hopefully St. Joseph Regional focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
Last Friday, St. Joseph Regional came up short against St. Mary and fell 53-44.
Despite the defeat, St. Joseph Regional had strong showings from Chaz Gray, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, and Jahmir Joseph, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nate Bailey, who scored two points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, even though Teaneck scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, Tenafly still came out on top. Tenafly secured a 60-56 W over Teaneck.
St. Joseph Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Tenafly, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8.
St. Joseph Regional was able to grind out a solid win over Tenafly in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 65-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Joseph Regional since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
