Toledo will be playing at home against Glide at at 7:00 PM on Friday. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Toledo now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
After a string of three wins, Toledo's good fortune finally ran out last Thursday. Toledo didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 28-34 to Bandon. Toledo's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Cameron Lonergan, who caught passes for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns. Lonergan has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.
Meanwhile, Glide came into their this week averaging 37.83 points per game, but Glide fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They suffered a grim 8-35 defeat to Lost River. That makes it the first time this season Glide have let down their home crowd.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
