The Durham Flight HomeSchool Flight will head out on the road to face off against the Cristo Rey Research Triangle Bulls at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Durham Flight HomeSchool and six for Cristo Rey Research Triangle.
Last Friday, Durham Flight HomeSchool had to suffer through a rough 88-13 loss at the hands of South Wake. While losing is never fun, Durham Flight HomeSchool can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while South Wake is ranked 77th).
Meanwhile, Cristo Rey Research Triangle was beaten by Neuse Christian Academy 59-16 on January 5th.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Natayia Hurst, who scored eight points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that she grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Imani Washington, who scored five points along with two steals.
Durham Flight HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cristo Rey Research Triangle, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-7.
