This season hasn't been kind to The Palmetto Christian Academy , who are still winless after their tenth game. They were dealt a 58-14 defeat at the hands of Colleton Prep Academy on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Palmetto Christian Academy in their matchups with Colleton Prep Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Palmetto Christian Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Josh Howard, who gained 80 total yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Peyton Shaw, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Palmetto Christian Academy's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-0 Bethesda Academy and 10-0 Williamsburg Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 71.5% over those games). As for Colleton Prep Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Palmetto Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Colleton Prep Academy will face off against Northside Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
