The Lisbon Central Golden Knights won the last time they faced the Edwards-Knox Cougars, and things went their way on Thursday too. Lisbon Central blew past Edwards-Knox 71-27 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-16.
Edwards-Knox's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kale Geer, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Allen, who scored 14 points.
Edwards-Knox struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Lisbon Central pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points per game. As for Edwards-Knox, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Lisbon Central is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Tupper Lake at 7:15 p.m. on December 20th. Edwards-Knox will be home for the holidays to greet Immaculate Heart Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
