It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Elkhorn North can now relate to. They suffered a tough 30-6 loss at the hands of Bennington on Friday. The low total for Elkhorn North limited their streak of high-flying scores to three in a row.
Johnny Ferguson threw for 51 yards on five of 14 attempts. Jase Reynolds was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards. On the ground, Jett Tingelhoff rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown.
Quinton Archer was his usual excellent self, rushing for 240 yards and three touchdowns. Archer has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played.
Elkhorn North's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Bennington, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Elkhorn North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bennington will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Skutt Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on November 20th. Skutt Catholic is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
