Two dominant signal callers in Zymier Jackson and Drew Hilfiker are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The East/World of Inquiry will be playing in front of their home fans against the Webster Schroeder Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
East/World of Inquiry put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wilson Magnet/Early College International 52-0 at home. Given East/World of Inquiry's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Wilson Magnet/Early College International is ranked 404th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Jackson, who threw for 146 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Diaz, who picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Webster Schroeder had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Churchville-Chili with a sharp 27-7 victory on Friday.
Webster Schroeder had a senior duo take command as Anthony DeRosa rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries and Hilfiker rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown.
East/World of Inquiry's victory was their eighth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.9 points per game. As for Webster Schroeder, their victory bumped their record up to 4-4.
