The KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers were the 45-44 winner over the Arrupe Jesuit Generals when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. KIPP Denver Collegiate took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arrupe Jesuit on Tuesday. KIPP Denver Collegiate has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ari Cowans was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with four steals for Arrupe Jesuit. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cowans has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Oscar Padilla, who scored two points along with 11 rebounds and seven steals.
KIPP Denver Collegiate now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Arrupe Jesuit, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. KIPP Denver Collegiate will face off against Fort Lupton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Lupton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they will head out on the road to take on Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 4.
