Big Game from Willis Jr As Bunker Hill Won 35-21
Starting off the list is Bunker Hill's Jason Willis Jr, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Willis Jr rushed for 230 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 95-yard run.
Willis Jr is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against East Burke on Friday. When Willis Jr last faced the Cavaliers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards.

Lincolnton's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Treylen Bost
Treylen Bost helped snap Lincolnton's five-game losing streak dating back to last season. Newton-Conover had no answer to Bost on Wednesday as he rushed for 165 yards, and also picked up 39 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Lincolnton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. Bost and Lincolnton are taking a road trip to square off against Bandys at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Maiden came up short on Wednesday despite Kendall Roberts delivering his best game to date. Roberts rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
If the past is any indication, Roberts could be in store for another big game when he takes on West Caldwell on Friday. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Roberts saw the Warriors), he rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

On Wednesday, Lincolnton got the W thanks in part to Rashad Lynch playing the best football he has all season. Lynch threw for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes, and also rushed for 87 yards on only eight carries.
This year, Lynch has thrown 4 touchdowns while averaging 93.2 passing yards per game.
