Gold Beach led 2A Special District 1 in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on Myrtle Point.
The Panthers' CJ Maxwell and Dustin Carter have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Maxwell has thrown for 456 yards this season, while Carter, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 13 catches for 182 yards. Bonanza's Adan Madera leads the league in rushing yards with 632.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bobcats take on Reedsport. Myrtle Point is currently in fifth, while the Braves are in fourth.
Lost River made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,524 from 8,372. The improvement came about via a 36-6 victory over Lakeview/Paisley last week.
