Basketball Recap: Fort Gibson Skates Past Ada with Ease

It was a proper cat-fight when Fort Gibson faced off against Ada on Friday. The Fort Gibson Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Ada Cougars 58-28. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kennadee Bickerstaff, who posted six points. Bickerstaff is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Ava Campos was another key player, putting up eight points.

Fort Gibson's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Ada, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.

Fort Gibson has already played their next matchup, an 82-27 win against Stilwell on the 23rd. As for Ada, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-40 defeat against Bishop McGuinness on the 21st.
