The Ramona Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 66-31 loss at the hands of Arlington. Ramona has struggled against Arlington recently, as their game on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Ramona's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zayden Perez, who scored nine points. Perez continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Andrew Green was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Ryan Wheeler had an outrageously good game for Arlington as he dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alijah Crumble, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Ramona's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Arlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Ramona will head out on the road to face off against La Sierra at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arlington, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Hillcrest's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
