Even though the Brazos Cougars scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, the Hempstead Bobcats still came out on top. Hempstead secured a 62-58 W over Brazos. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hempstead.
Kaleb Blackmon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jamari Idlebird was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Hempstead is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Brazos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-11.
Hempstead will be playing at home against Hitchcock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hitchcock is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
