Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The New Albany Bulldogs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a hard 35-17 fall against Castle on Friday. New Albany just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dakota Johnson, who rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown.
Antonio Harris got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 192 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per carry. Harris was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Max Mccool was another key contributor, rushing for 96 yards and a touchdown.
New Albany has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Castle, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
New Albany does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Castle will look to defend their home field on Friday against Evansville North at 7:00 p.m.
