Henry Summerlin Delivers Best Performance of Season
Henry Summerlin produced his most outstanding game to date while leading St. Edmund to the win on Friday. Summerlin rushed for 250 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
The victory for St. Edmund keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Summerlin and St. Edmund will square off against Berchmans Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jewell Posts Huge Game in 42-34 Win
Catholic of Pointe Coupee picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Parker Jewell. Jewell turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 89 yards and three touchdowns.
Catholic of Pointe Coupee pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Jewell and Catholic of Pointe Coupee will challenge North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Myka Nipple Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Myka Nipple posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 177 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (119.3) per game. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.
Nipple might have his next game, a home matchup with North Central, circled on his calendar. Nipple rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries the last time he and the Hurricanes duked it out back in October of 2023.

St. Edmund Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Kane West
Kane West was instrumental in extending St. Edmund's winning streak to five on Friday. West did his part (and then some), rushing for 63 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 104 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'.
On the season, West has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 163.8 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 95 passing yards per game.

Wyatt Dubois Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, St. Edmund got the W thanks in part to Wyatt Dubois playing the best football he has all season. Dubois forced two fumbles, made ten total tackles (0.5 for loss), and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
This year, Dubois has averaged 6.4 total tackles per game. It gets even more impressive: after five games last season, he had one forced fumble. This year he is already up to three.
