The Walla Walla Blue Devils were the 51-48 winner over the Kennewick Lions when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Walla Walla took a 60-45 bruising from the Lions on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Walla Walla has lost by exactly 15 points.
Walla Walla's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Madison Reibel, who scored 24 points, and Cami Martin who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Miriam Hutchens, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Walla Walla struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Walla Walla are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8. As for Kennewick, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walla Walla will take on the Bombers at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Richland is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Kennewick, they and the Bulldogs will face off at 5:45 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pasco will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Lions are ranked 43rd).
