Soccer Recap: Brookhaven Academy Triumphs

Brookhaven Academy came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals), and they left with even more momentum. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Cougars who were credited with the victory. The Brookhaven Academy Cougars got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Muddy River HomeSchool Counselors's three. This was a revenge game for Brookhaven Academy: when they faced off against Muddy River HomeSchool on November 4th, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Jose Morales was the driving force of Brookhaven Academy's attack as he scored both of Brookhaven Academy's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Brookhaven Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Muddy River HomeSchool, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Brookhaven Academy will venture away from home to square off against Cathedral at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Muddy River HomeSchool, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Aloysius at 5:30 p.m. on December 3.
