Pinecrest Academy Cadence put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Southeast Career Tech, posting a 63-35 victory at home. The victory was just what Pinecrest Academy Cadence needed coming off of a 70-43 loss in their prior matchup.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Engfer, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Engfer pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellon Trubey, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Desert Oasis faced Rancho in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Desert Oasis suffered a rough 73-51 loss at the hands of Rancho on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Desert Oasis has suffered yet this season.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Desert Oasis, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
