Basketball Recap: Rouse Takes a Loss

Rouse has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Hill Panthers on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly 12 points.

Despite the defeat, Rouse saw an underclassman step up: sophomore D'Andre Gardner posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Gardner a new career-high. Luke Baldwin was another key player, putting up six points and six boards.

Rouse's loss dropped their record down to 22-12. As for Liberty Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 22 games, which provided a nice bump to their 29-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Rouse nor Liberty Hill have any future games scheduled.
