Section 9 AA-I recap Nov. 7, 2012
Pine Bush extended the longest winning streak in Section 9 AA-I this week by beating Monroe-Woodbury, 20-16. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Bushmen.
The Crusaders made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 864 from 983. The improvement came about via a 20-16 victory over Monroe-Woodbury last week.
Matt Geisler was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 130 yards on 15 carries as Pine Bush bested Pat D'Aliso's team. Teammate Mike Martin added to the ground attack by rushing for 76 yards.
On the ground, the Crusaders' Kevin Carr has rushed for 959 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Justin Kaffenberger. The Monroe-Woodbury star has 43 catches for 714 yards.
Monroe-Woodbury fell 20-16 to Jim Wright's team in the closest game of the week.
