The Cross Creek Razorbacks had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They breezed by Hephzibah at home to the tune of 72-25. Cross Creek has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 34 points or more this season.
Cross Creek had a senior duo take command as Tahjae Hawes scored 26 points along with six rebounds and six steals and Micheala Bogans dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 steals. Bogans has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. JaNya Wiley was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Cross Creek pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 47 points. As for Hephzibah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Coincidentally, Cross Creek and Hephzibah will both be playing Salem the next time they take the court. Cross Creek will head out to face Salem at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Hephzibah will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
