Brendan Hall's Big Game Leads Geneva County over Samson
Starting off the list is Geneva County's Brendan Hall, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hall rushed for 312 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards.
Geneva County moved to 4-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Hall and Geneva County will square off against Houston County on Friday.

Cottonwood Wins Eighth-Straight Thanks to Braylon Morris
Cottonwood picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Braylon Morris. Morris was dynamite, throwing for 237 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also rushing for 70 yards and a touchdown. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making three total tackles.
Cottonwood's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Morris and Cottonwood will venture away from home to face off against Abbeville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tyler Sharp Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Providence Christian got the W thanks in part to Tyler Sharp playing the best football he has all season. Sharp rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 49 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory (which was Providence Christian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Sharp and Providence Christian will take on Long on Friday.

King Campbell Delivers Electric Effort Vs Ariton
Cottonwood picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to King Campbell. Campbell did his part (and then some), rushing for 200 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries for the 'W'. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.
On the year, Campbell has averaged 16 receiving yards per game.

Pittman Posts Huge Game in 42-26 Win
The second Providence Christian player making an appearance here is Craig Pittman, and for good reason. He rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 61 yards and two touchdowns.
For the season, Pittman has thrown 11 touchdowns (and and only 2 picks) while averaging 112.7 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had three passing touchdowns.
