Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop O'Connell). They walked away with a 76-67 win over The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-35 two weeks ago.

Carly Sweazie went supernova for Bishop O'Connell, putting up 29 points. Those 29 points gave Sweazie a new career-high. Amanda Bates was another key player, scoring 13 points.

Bishop O'Connell has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for The Academy of the Holy Cross, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-17.

Looking ahead, Bishop O'Connell will venture away from home to square off against Our Lady of Good Counsel at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Academy of the Holy Cross does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
