Everything went their way against the Burlingame Bearcats on Saturday as the Rock Hills Grizzlies made off with a 60-37 win. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 23 points or more this season.
Leading Rock Hills to victory were Bethany Simmelink and Halle Mizner. Simmelink shot 64% from the field en route to 27 points along with seven steals and five assists, while Mizner dropped a double-double with 25 points and 16 rebounds. Simmelink's morning made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynlee Manning, who posted six points.
The victory (which was Rock Hills' seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points on average over those games. As for Burlingame, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.
