They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Redwood Christian Eagles. Winning may never get old, but the Marlins sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Making Waves Academy who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 19-25, 25-21, 22-25, 15-11.
Henry Alfaro paced Making Waves Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Alfaro got some help from Vicente Palma and his 26 assists. Alfaro was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.
