Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Region 5 this week, Quitman beat Purvis 14-13. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Panthers.
Quitman made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,387 from 1,618. The improvement was the result of a 14-13 victory over the Tornadoes last week.
Forrest County Agricultural's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Aggies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Carter Hankins has thrown for 1,817 yards and 23 touchdowns this season, while Corey Husband has 30 catches for 832 yards.
Forrest County Agricultural's Hankins is within 183 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against St. Stanislaus.
The Aggies led the league in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on Columbia. Hankins threw for 166 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
