The Weequahic Indians will look to defend their home court on Sunday against the Rahway Indians at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Weequahic's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Indians have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
Even though Weequahic has not done well against the Phoenix recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Weequahic snuck past the Phoenix with a 65-60 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Weequahic can attribute much of their success to Bart Jordan, who scored 20 points, and Tyhir Barlow, who scored 23 points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rahway beat the Comets 58-53 on Thursday.
Weequahic is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for Rahway, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
