Benton came tearing into Tuesday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Lawson as they made off with a 19-3 win. Considering Benton has won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Benton pushed their record up to 20-12 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lawson, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-5.

Benton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-0 loss against Savannah on the 15th. As for Lawson, they will take on Brookfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
