Second Baptist extended their postseason success on Saturday against Grace Prep. They took down the Grace Prep Lions 65-47. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Second Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reese Alston, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 20 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shia Francis, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 boards.
Despite the defeat, Grace Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amari Coleman posted 15 points and five rebounds. Preston Capuli was another key player, putting up eight points.
Second Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 33-4. As for Grace Prep, they moved to 27-6 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
