Collinsville had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Metro-East Lutheran Knights. The victory continues a trend for the Kahoks in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won five in a row.

Collinsville easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21.

Metro-East Lutheran dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collinsville will host Highland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they will welcome Alton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
