Baseball Game Preview: Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats vs. Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators

The Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Charleston Math & Science, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats blew past the Riptide 16-3 last Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Greyson Stampley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nick Moss, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise. Hayden Phares was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Lowcountry Leadership posted their closest win since April 15, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Bridges Prep 7-5. The victory continues a trend for the NaviGators in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won six in a row.

Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Lowcountry Leadership, their record is now 7-5.

Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics couldn't quite get it done against Lowcountry Leadership in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
