Garfield-Palouse had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Touchet 2-0. That result is just more of the same for Garfield-Palouse, who also won the last time these teams played. This was the first game for both teams, giving Garfield-Palouse a 1-0 record and starting Touchet off at 0-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Garfield-Palouse will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Sunnyside Christian at 7:00 PM. Touchet will look to defend their home turf next week against Pomeroy at 3:00 PM.
