The Knights have beaten the Cougars the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.

Somerset Academy Losee not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Cristo Rey St. Viator. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Somerset Academy Losee took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-14.
Mater Academy East Las Vegas' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Somerset Academy Losee, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
