A Season-Best  Performance from  Troy Swain Leads New Plymouth over Nampa Christian
 New Plymouth came up short  on Friday despite  Troy Swain delivering his best game to date. Swain picked up 165 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also made ten total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging   an  interception.
 New Plymouth is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-6. Swain will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant  effort when he faces off against Melba on Friday.

Big Game from Steinmeyer As Marsing Won 35-12
 Marsing found a leader in  Luke Steinmeyer as the  squad took down Melba on Friday. Steinmeyer turned in nothing short of a gem, forcing two fumbles and making ten total tackles. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced two fumbles and made ten total tackles.
 If history really does repeat itself,  Steinmeyer might just drop another big game when he faces off against Parma on Friday. When  Steinmeyer last faced the Panthers  back in September of 2023, he picked up  0.5  sacks, made 16 total tackles (3.0 for loss),  and defended a pass.

  Payton Zigga continued his hot streak  on Friday by dropping his 16th-straight game (dating back to last season) with  at least six  total tackles. He picked up  two  sacks and made 13 total tackles (5.0 for loss).
 For the year,  Zigga  has averaged 13 total tackles per game  and for the season has 5 sacks. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he had 1.5  sacks.

Mason Mcdaniel Makes Top Five
 Rounding off our Top Five is  Mason Mcdaniel of Nampa Christian. Mcdaniel rushed for nine yards.
 Mcdaniel must have New Plymouth's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When  Mcdaniel last faced the Pilgrims  back in October of 2023, he picked up 53 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
