Baseball Recap: Bensalem Has No Trouble Against Norristown

After only two runs in their last matchup, Bensalem made sure to put some runs up on the board against Norristown on Saturday. Bensalem blew past Norristown 18-6. That's more bragging rights for the Fighting Owls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Peter Pasquarella made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Pasquarella was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Joey Doc was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ryan Strazz, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Bensalem now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Norristown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coming up, Bensalem will look to defend their home field on Monday against Council Rock South at 3:45 p.m. As for Norristown, they will head out on the road to face off against Pottstown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
