The Skyline Grizzlies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Idaho Falls Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Skyline has three straight wins, Idaho Falls has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Skyline at home against Bonneville as the squad secured a 70-42 win. Given Skyline's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Bonneville is ranked 80th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Shay Shippen went supernova for Skyline, dropping a double-double on 36 points and 20 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Shippen has scored at least 25% of Skyline's points. The team also got some help courtesy of mady boyce, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Idaho Falls was beaten by Bonneville 81-52 on Saturday.
Skyline's victory bumped their season record to 3-0 while Bonneville's defeat dropped theirs to 1-5.
Skyline came up short against Idaho Falls in their previous matchup back in January, falling 62-55. Will Skyline have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
