It was a good run, but The Alexander Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 35-15 walloping at the hands of United. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Alexander in their matchups with United: they've now lost six in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Alexander lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gael Rodriguez. Despite the final result, he rushed for 187 yards and a touchdown. Rodriguez hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for seven straight games.
It was another big night for Atzel Chavez Jr., who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Saldana, who picked up 101 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Alexander's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for United, their win was their fourth straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 8-2.
Alexander will be playing at home against Jay at 3:00 p.m. on November 11th. As for United, they will face off against Taft at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th.
