The Hoover Huskies were the 53-36 winner over the Midland Trail Patriots when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Hoover fell just short of Midland Trail by a score of 52-49. Hoover has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Hoover lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Sadi Wehrle. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Ayva Veltri, who scored 11 points.
Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Midland Trail, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Hoover will head out on the road to face off against Poca at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Poca is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Midland Trail will take on Shady Spring at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Shady Spring focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Thursday.
