The biggest upset of the week belonged to Owensboro, who took down 59th ranked Lone Oak, 45-31.
Calloway County took down Hopkins County Central 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Purple Flash's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zyaire Hughes threw for 251 and two touchdowns and Tyrae Caldwell had 92 yards receiving. On the ground Rasheed Jones chipped in 75 yards. Morgan Alexander helped Lone Oak's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 82 yards.
Lone Oak's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Purple Flash feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hughes has thrown for 1195 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Alexander has 20 catches for 365 yards. D'juan Sherrill leads the league in rushing with 1144 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Storm take on North Hopkins. At the moment, Hopkins County Central is in fifth, while the Maroons are in fourth.
The Red Devils made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,029 from 4,813. The advance stemmed from a 45-31 victory over Lone Oak last week.
